Norse Goddess Freya Figurine

Norse Goddess Freya Figurine

£66.00Price

Freya or Freyja is a Goddess in Norse Mythology, most often associated with love, war and fertility. Her name is old norse for "Lady". It was her priviledge to take half of those slain in battle to the Great Hall Fólkvangar, whilst Odin took the other half to Valhalla.

Here she can be seen with her trusted companions - two cats who pulled her chariot -

wearing a cloak of feathers said to give the gift of flight, ready for battle, with a sword firmly gripped in her hand and a shield resting upon her leg.

Freya has been cast in the finest resin before being given a bronze finish. She stands at 21cm and weighs around 1kg.
