Dreams

We all dream, but what are dreams? Are they a glimpse into our psyches and a processing of recent events, particularly those that are playing on our minds? Do we make contact with our spirit guides or angels so that they can impart wisdom and healing? Do we meet with deceased loved ones? Is there another “place” where we can visit, another realm entirely?

Without a doubt dreams can help us unravel many of the everyday things that buzz around our minds, as when we are asleep our minds attempt to process and make sense of our troubles, but often the images are rather mixed up and heavily symbolic. I believe that the symbols and images we see in our dreams are deeply personal and cannot always be deciphered using third party material, but do these images sometimes come from another source? Do our guides use our dream state as a way to reach out and connect with us, and do we enter the spirit realm or perhaps some place in between?

We often dream of loved ones who have already passed and those dreams can feel incredibly real, so if we believe that we can connect with our guides, then it’s not much of a leap to believe that we can also connect with people or animals who have passed over and are now in spirit! But what about the flip side – if we can connect with spirit then does that mean that darker entities can hop on board too, are there other realms or dimensions that are home to less friendly beings who in turn give us our nightmares?

Can we become lost or stuck in our dreams by travelling to some unfamiliar realm that may also be dark and dangerous? Or can we become lost in our own minds during a dream state – that minefield of images, symbols, sounds and feelings?

Just how much notice should we take of our dreams with their symbols and sounds? Some people believe that they see future events in their dreams – premonitions. It is interesting that these types of dreams seem to be more memorable than others!

Maybe all of the above is possible? Maybe some of our dreams are nothing more than a processing of recent events, but others are guidance from our spirit guides, and perhaps we even travel to other realms and dimensions at will? I personally find my dreams very bizarre and often heavily symbolic, but there seems to be a message in them if I take the time to look closely.

What sort of dreams do you experience? Do you feel that you connect with spirit guides or loved ones, or do you feel that you travel to other realms of existence? I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts :)
